You cannot fix what nobody has mapped.
Most organisations already know something is wrong. Very few can say precisely what, or which thing to fix first.
So the fixing starts anyway: a new tool here, a new hire there, a policy written after an incident. Each is reasonable on its own. Together they add cost without removing the underlying problem, because none of them was chosen against a picture of the whole.
The audit produces that picture, and a ranked order of work. Then you decide what to do with it. You are free to take the report and act on it entirely without us, and some clients do.
