The Administrative Intelligence Diagnostic

How much of your institution lives in people's heads?

This diagnostic measures whether your organization's capability sits in its structures or in its staff. Start with the four minute scan, or take the full assessment for a domain by domain breakdown.

Built on the Administrative Intelligence Framework developed by Ruth Mutile Kimeu, author of The Invisible Architecture: Administrative Leadership as Institutional Power.

What It Measures

Five domains that decide whether work survives the people doing it.

Each domain is assessed on what your organization actually does, not what policy says it should. Some questions are worded so that a high score is the weaker answer, so read each one before responding.

01

Documentation and institutional memory

Whether what the organization knows is retrievable by someone who was not there.

02

Process design and handover

Whether work moves cleanly between people and stages.

03

Decision support and information flow

Whether decision makers have what they need, when they need it.

04

Coordination and role clarity

Whether people know who does what, and whether the boundaries hold.

05

Continuity and inheritability

Whether the organization can outlive its current occupants.

Every organization scores well somewhere. The value is in knowing where it does not.

Your scores across the five domains of administrative intelligence

Each axis is scored out of 100. The shape matters more than the size.

Your Three Weakest Answers

These are the specific points where structure is thinnest.

Where The Risk Sits

Your two weakest domains.

What To Do First

Three priority actions.

Sequenced. Each is executable within a quarter.

    Go Deeper

The full assessment shows you where, not just how much.

Fifty questions, about twelve minutes. It returns a score for each of the five domains, a chart of your shape across them, the risks concentrated in your two weakest, and three priority actions written for your position.

Want a written commentary on this?

You already have your report above. Leave your email and we will send a short written commentary on your two weakest domains, plus a note when the sector benchmark goes live.

Sent. Your report is on its way.

Responses are anonymized and used to build sector benchmarks for administrative maturity. Your organization is never named.

Scoring in this range is common and it is fixable. If you want to talk through what it would take, book a discovery call or reply to the report email.
